Celebrating Lent

An Invitation to the Springtime of the Soul

Lent comes around each year as a way of helping us warm to spiritual practices – simple prayer times, or reflective reading, group discussion or social action - to try something new. Such times can help us see that any empty place inside of us, actually belongs to God. As St Augustine says, ….
“You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”

That’s why Lent is an invitation to ‘the a springtime of the soul’, connecting us to the life source of our humanity.

Our Vision

We seek to be an energised people both as spiritual guides and activists centred in Christ and refreshed from the well of prayer.
We seek to offer a deep space for the refreshment and comfort of all.

Indigenous Recognition

Acknowledging the First Australians as the Traditional Custodians of the land in which we live and accepting the realities of our history to better our nation’s future.

Our Community

Gosford Anglican is an open and inclusive community of believers, doubters and  misfits sharing in the mystery of the loving Father, the joy of the resurrected Jesus and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
We celebrate the uniqueness of each individual and create a safe space for each person to share their story
and enrich our life together.
As Anglicans, we explore the depth and richness that liturgy and contemplative prayer focuses and energises us to speak with a prophetic voice.
